THE CONFERENCE
Vision of The Bold New Normal
The materialisation of a bold new Africa where self-actualisation and prosperity are possible because the right opportunities are created for all to thrive — not merely survive.
It is a new normal because mindsets have shifted and the status quo for Africa is no longer accepted.
It is bold because it demands a fundamental shift in how we view ourselves and each other — collectively, proudly, and supportively driving economic success.
This is an Africa where everyone has the real opportunity to realise their potential. An Africa where we are proud of what we see around us every day.
Beyond Sustainability — Towards True African Prosperity
While the world aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we envision more for the African.
For instance:
-
SDG 1: No Poverty — aims to end poverty in all its forms everywhere
-
SDG 2: Zero Hunger — aims to end hunger, achieve food security and promote sustainable agriculture
But we ask:
How do we ensure that the African is in the driving seat — defining and realising their own inclusive prosperity — with goals that go beyond sustainability?
How does Africa, country by country, claim and own its rightful place in the world?
Pillars of The Bold New Normal
1- Food Security & Prosperity
Everyone has more than enough to eat, and the financial benefits of provision belong to African-owned, large-scale businesses that multiply wealth across the continent.
2- Transformative Education
All children receive high-quality, context-relevant education that builds confidence in their equal global place — especially in building a prosperous Africa.
3- Contextual Healthcare
Africans benefit from home-grown medical solutions that blend traditional and western practices, tailored to our unique makeup and lifestyle — ensuring full coverage for all.
4- Vibrant Local Industry
African businesses flourish and gain global recognition for their quality. Africans prefer their own goods and services. Every able adult is gainfully employed.
5- Intra-African Trade & Unity
African countries trade with each other and stand as a united bloc, confidently advocating for their interests on the global stage.
6- A Safe, Just Society for All
There are no street children. All children enjoy their childhood. The disadvantaged are treated with justice, care, and dignity.
7- Accountable, Empathetic Leadership
Africa is led by transparent, inclusive, and empathetic leaders who prioritize the needs of the people and lead by example — with love and humility.
