Leading Business
Lucy Quist is an accomplished strategic business leader with extensive experience in financial services and telecommunications. She is the IFC-nominated NED for CSquared and also serves on the boards of INSEAD Business School and Margins ID Group. She is a member of The Institute of Directors, UK.
Most recently, she was Managing Director and Global Head of Firm Resilience at Morgan Stanley, where she led the firm’s business continuity and operational resilience functions after serving as the Global Head of Change in Technology Transformation. Previously, she was a CEO of Airtel, and held leadership roles at Vodafone and Millicom International Cellular. Early in her career, she worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland and Ford Motor Company. She believes in collaborative leadership, creating room for people in her teams to succeed together and thrive as they deliver business results.
Lucy is a chartered electrical and electronic engineer with a first-class honors degree from the University of East London and an MBA from INSEAD. She speaks French as a second business language.
Her experience in strategy, organisational development and business transformation, combined with her board expertise, make her a valuable asset to the organizations she leads.
She is the recipient of multiple honours by reputable organisations for her exceptional strategic insights, delivery of transformative business results and dedication to growing people within her organisations. Notable among these are University of East London Alumni Change Maker Award, CIMG Marketing Woman of the year, Telecom CEO of the Year, CSR CEO of the year and the Corporate Leadership Award at the Ghana Legacy Awards.
Lucy is a thought leader and international speaker focused on Leadership, Technology and Transformation.
In January 2020 she moderated the UK – Africa Investment Summit hosted by the then British Prime Minister and attended by 21 African Heads of State (https://youtu.be/Vz43FAea7W0). She has spoken on platforms such as TEDxEUSTON, Wharton Africa Business Forum, the Sanford C. Bernstein Centre for Leadership & Ethics at Columbia Business School, McGill University and INSEAD’s Africa business forum. She spoke at the GSMA’s Mobile World Congress in 2017.

She is the author of the book, The Bold New Normal, and Convenor of the annual conference of the same title.
