As a well-known passionate advocate of STEM education, Lucy Quist was at the launch of the African Science Academy to share her thoughts and hopes for STEM in Africa. In her speech, Lucy stresses on the need for greater participation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics across the continent whiles encouraging the first batch of students in the Academy to be eager to use their knowledge in developing solutions for Africa.
The African Science Academy (ASA) is a new, girls-only Advanced Level school for maths and science. ASA begun in August 2016 where girls across Africa are given a life-changing program that is mainly focused on STEM alongside some of the greatest minds the continent has to offer.
